Staff Nominations are Open!

Our teachers and staff have work hard each year to support our community and its students. Please take a moment to let them know they are appreciated by clicking on the link below. All nominations will be forwarded to the staff member.

The definition of Teacher of the Year is: A staff member who has been employed with the district for a minimum of two years and spends the majority of his/her time in front of students and assigns grades. 

The definition of Support Staff of the Year is: All other district staff members who support our classrooms and have been employed with the district for a minimum of two years.

The parameters for Rookie of the Year will stay the same: Any employee (Teacher or Support Staff) in his/her first year with the Vail School District.

Quarter 1 Report Cards will be mailed on September 21st along with Benchmark Reports.

Quarter 1 Awards Assembly will take place on October 11th at 9:00 a.m. We hope to see you there!

October 12, 2018 will be a special field trip day for all students with good citizenship standing. They will be traveling to the Ft. Lowell museum. Fort Lowell Museum tells the historic story of Fort Lowell during the Apache Wars. Housed in a accurate replica of the Commanding Officers quarters, circa 1885. The building hold permanent and changing exhibits featuring military artifacts. There will be no cost for this field trip. Permission slips will go out on Monday, October 8th and must be returned by October 10th in order to participate.
